Read carefully the Adult Tennis Ladder Rules - click HERE.

Contact Libby Smith - benandlibby@cox.net to get the username and password you need to sign up for the Adult Ladder. Please note - ONLY GACTA members are eligible for the Adult Tennis Ladders. If you are not a member, please click HERE to join GACTA.

Once you have the username and password, click on the link BELOW to go to the Tennis Ladder Database. Enter the username and password exactly. Click on a button to go to one of the Adult Tennis Ladder portions of the database (Men's Tennis Ladder; Women's Tennis Ladder' Men's Doubles Ladder; Women's Doubles Ladder). Please note: to access the Junior Ladder portion, you must use the Junior Ladder username and password.

Tennis Ladder Database

To sign up for the ladder, click on the button 'Add New Player'. In the new window, enter all your information. Doubles teams will enter the last name of each player - the team name will be the combination of the two last names. Doubles teams need to determine one phone number and email address for contacts. When you are finished, click the 'Done' button. Clicking the Cancel button will delete the record and take you back to the main ladder.

To enter scores, click on the button 'Record Score'. In the new window that appears, choose the first player's name from the drop-down list; the second player's name from the drop-down list; enter the match date and enter the scores. BE SURE TO ENTER THE SCORES WITH THE WINNERS' SCORE FIRST - ie, 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 - the winner in this case won the first set, lost the second and won the third. If there is a 3rd set, the third set will ALWAYS have the larger number of games first - the third set score should NEVER be reported 1-6. If you use a 10-point tie-breaker in lieu of the third set, the third set score will be 1-0.

Score Examples:
6-4, 6-3 - the winner won both sets; there was no third set
2-6, 7-6, 6-2 - the winner lost the first set, won the second set in a tie-breaker and won the third set
6-7, 7-6, 7-6 - the winner lost the first set in a tiebreaker, won the second and third sets in tiebreakers
6-0, 4-6, 6-2 - the winner won the first set, lost the second set, won the third set
1-6, 2-6 - INCORRECT!!!!!
6-3, 1-6, 1-6 - INCORRECT!!!!

Disputes - if someone disputes an entry (or determines they have entered something incorrectly), contact Libby Smith ASAP. Libby's decisions in all matters pertaining to the Adult Tennis Ladder will be final.

To view an individual player's record - click the 'Go' button next to their name on the main layout of the Ladder. This will take you to a screen where you can view their contact information and see the wins and losses of that player/team.

Adult Ladder Rankings will be published on the GACTA website on a regular basis for player recognition. If you would like to submit a tennis photo to go along with these rankings - email the photo to: GACTA Webmistress. All persons in all photos must be named or the photo cannot be published.

When you are done, click the Exit button and then the Log Out button. It is very important to log out of the database so that others can use it!

If you have difficulties logging into the database, check the username and password you are using - if they are correct, wait a little while and try again - it may be that there are too many people logged in at that time. If you are on a dial-up connection, you may have to be very patient with the database as it will be quite slow for you.
