Read carefully the Junior Tennis Ladder Rules - click HERE.

Contact Dave Porter at Westside Park to get the username and password you need to sign up for the Junior Ladder, to be assigned a group letter and to enter scores. - 352 376-8250 (Westside Park) or Dave's cellphone - 352-262-4905.

Once you have the username and password, click on the link BELOW to go to the Tennis Ladder Database. Enter the username and password exactly. Click on the button to go to the Junior Tennis Ladder portion of the database.

Junior Tennis Ladder Database

To sign up for the ladder, click on the button 'Add New Player'. In the new window, enter the Group Letter that has been assigned to you by Dave Porter and all other information. When you are finished, click the 'Done' button.

To enter scores, click on the button 'Record Score'. In the new window that appears, enter the group letter and click Submit; the date the match was played (you can click on the little calendar if you need to find the date), both player's names and the winner's name and click Submit; then the scores from each set and click Submit. BE SURE TO ENTER THE SCORES WITH THE WINNERS' SCORE FIRST - ie, 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 - the winner in this case won the first set, lost the second and won the third. If there is a 3rd set, the third set will ALWAYS have the larger number of games first - the third set score should NEVER be reported 1-6. Once the scores are entered, the window will show how many games the winner won and lost and how many games the loser won and lost. If you make a mistake in entering scores, hit the cancel button. If you are satisfied with your scores, click the done button.

Score Examples:
6-4, 6-3 - the winner won both sets; there was no third set
2-6, 7-6, 6-2 - the winner lost the first set, won the second set in a tie-breaker and won the third set
6-7, 7-6, 7-6 - the winner lost the first set in a tiebreaker, won the second and third sets in tiebreakers
6-0, 4-6, 6-2 - the winner won the first set, lost the second set, won the third set
1-6, 2-6 - INCORRECT!!!!!
6-3, 1-6, 1-6 - INCORRECT!!!!

Disputes - if someone disputes an entry (or determines they have entered something incorrectly), contact Dave Porter at the above phone numbers ASAP.

To view an individual player's record - click the 'Go' button next to their name on the main layout of the Junior Ladder. This will take you to a screen where you can view their contact information and see the wins and losses of that player.

When you are done, click the Exit button and then the Log Out button. It is very important to log out of the database so that others can use it!

If you have difficulties logging into the database, check the username and password you are using - if they are correct, wait a little while and try again - it may be that there are too many people logged in at that time. If you are on a dial-up connection, you may have to be very patient with the database as it will be quite slow for you.
